Large Puzzle Door

Day 8

Now the group is well, healed and rested. Solving the large puzzle of the door. They make it all the way to the treasury... climbing an epic spiral staircase... for the reward of an ever full alchemy-jug... Gil is all about this  while he gets tipsy everyone search’s around for some nice loot finds. 

Happy with full pockets the team makes their way back out... as they reach the entrance the guide runs to them ... “there gone!.... our canons are gone!!!”

Traps

Day 7 continuing...

The group slowly but surly make their way through the shrine. Everyone goes in except the guide. After some falls,burning and arguments around the traps they finally find their way to a puzzle door. Taking advantage of this quote and safe place they take a long rest,...

Never again would Men and Crocodiles be friends...

Day 7

Our adventurers have taken a slight detour just off the river. Entering Camp Rightous, this name is only known by the map and by the guide the group has with them. This place gives the druid of the party a feeling of not being alone. Everyone gets the feeling they are being watched by unseen eyes. The group makes it to the House of the Crocodile shire entrance.

The group is sidetracked with some internal turmoil. This left Gil wounded and with the loss of his parrots. Lothar killed it and took it.... Luckly, Sinisha stepped in and ended the fight.... Gil is no longer speaking to anyone...

The guide that is with them tells them the tail of the man and the crocodile.

In the early days of the world, Man stood by the banks of a river, frightened. Crocodile raised his head from the water and asked, “What troubles you, cousin Man?”

Man said, “I must cross this river, but I fear to enter the wateralone, because it teems with your brethren.”

Crocodile replied, “It’s true, you would not be safe. But I willcarry you across the river safely on my back, if you promise to return the favor.” Man agreed, and Crocodile bore him safely across the water

When they reached the far bank, Man asked, “How can I repay you?” Crocodile replied, “I wish to see the realm of Humans, but I fear to go there alone, because it teems with your brethren.You must carry me on your back across your realm.” Man had been tricked, but a promise is a promise, so he carried Crocodile safely on his back across the entire realm of humans, a journey that lasted many years. He also swore, in his anger, that never again would Men and Crocodiles be friends, and so it has remained to this day.

Sinisha tests out the first room from the entrance and finds that its ceiling here is 23 feet high and draped with cobwebs, and the stone-tiled floor is covered with a thick layer of mud, creepers, and blown-in leaves. She was able to see there is a trap door of some kind of unknown size in this room.

What will they do now?

Unexpected Camp Guest

After 3 days... day 6...

Our team of adventurous misfits have been traveling for three days. On this far and oddly clear evening they have a guest come stumbling through camp. At first they arn't sure, but it turns out to be none other then the famous Volo! They get to chat a while, learn about some rumors of the land and score a could of copies of his new Monster Manual Book.

• Rumors:
• 13–17 If you head up the Tiryki River about five days by canoe, you’ll see a stone spire to the east. Natives call it Firefinger. “Terror folk” nest there, and if they spot you, you’re in for a fight.
• 18–22 One must purchase a charter of exploration at Fort Beluarian before undertaking any jungle expedition. The Flaming Fist punishes explorers who don’t have the required paperwork.
• 46–50 The jungle is full of nature spirits — weird little elemental creatures with masks. They don’t speak, and I’ve never known one to be harmful, but their magical powers should not be taken lightly.
• 66–71 Watch out for any mist with a blue tinge to it. It spreads a fever that drives people mad.
• 72–77 A dragon turtle named Aremag lives in the Bay of Chult. If you wish to set sail from Port Nyanzaru, you’ll need treasure to appease the greedy monster. How much treasure, I can’t say. Aremag will tell you what it wants, and you’d best give it what it demands.

 Day 3

After the excitement of the races and a good nights rest, our adventures take the first steps of their journey. Taking off in two canoes to head down the river to Camp Vengeance, the detestation of Undril.

Typical camp 10 hours

• Use of 1 incense repellent a night
• Tents when raining (No tents when clear weather)
• Gil Voidblight will take first watch for 4 hours while Ivellios Hanali takes his long rest. Ibelios will then take watch.
• Gil Voidblight will fish and craft survival traps 
• Gil Voidblight will "Purify food" if spell slot is available 
• Ivellios Hanali will clear camping area with "Create Bonfire"
• Sinisha will cook
• Lothar will set up water catchers and fill all the waters in the morning
• Lothar's Dino mount is native so it will find its our food and water

Dino Racing

We find out adventures rested and eager to see the sites of the city. They are in luck, as today is the great day of the Dinosaur races. Though it seems like our friends have gotten a little sidetracked while placing their wagers. They got sucked in by the bookie to collect a debt, and left, a little worst for the wear, with a new member to the party.

As the 9 dinosaurs and jockeys get ready and  corralled at the starting gate they become a little restless. The race gets off the a brawling start. Once everyone made it out of the gate, who was left alive, things ramped up. Some mud slowed the racers but in the end there was a victor. Ubtao’s Favorite (young triceratops on a streak) came out from the middle of the pack to take it all for the win!

My inventions were a success. Three adventures came to me and four traveled to Chult. They are an interesting lot. I do hope they are able to get to the bottom of this. I only wish I had more of a direction for them other then to look for a soulmonger, in Chult, in this unmapped jungle, and provide money to get supplies before they go...

I have made it to the Price's Villa. He has been very gracious and allowed me to stay there till this all concludes.... though, I fear the worst and I may never go back home.
